Dr Michael Stick was called to GloryLand Baptist Church in January of 2016. He received Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior in December of 1981 at the age of 23. Within a few months of his conversion, he felt a desire to attend college. Little did he know that the desire he felt was the beginning of God’s call for his life. He committed himself to full-time Christian ministry in the spring of 1983.
Pastor Michael is a graduate of Northeastern State University in Tahlequah (B.S. Elementary Ed, 1987). He is a 5th grade teacher for Bixby Public Schools as well as a bi-vocational pastor. He received an MDiv from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary (1996) and a DMin from Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary (2001).
Pastor Michael believes that one purpose of the Church is to show the world the love of Christ by being like Jesus. He also believes the church is to develop believers and give hop to the hopeless. His desire is to see people who need Jesus come to a personal faith in Him.
